If so, then even then there would only be an increase of 14 stitches.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9170092268359617539.post-89605439908433050572011-08-06T10:05:33.639-07:002011-08-06T10:05:33.639-07:00Julie

I love the fine cable design to it.Julienoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9170092268359617539.post-29517985447401989722011-06-15T10:39:29.237-07:002011-06-15T10:39:29.237-07:00I strongly recommend making a guage swatch and wat...I strongly recommend making a guage swatch and watching your LENGTH carefully. You may have to use MUCH larger needles. I made this with 10 ply acrylic worsted & the recommended #8 needles, and it came out VERY short. It was my first time doing cables, so that may have tightened it up some - but it's at least 6" from my elbows at the longest point. I even switched at row 40 to 9's and at row 65 to 10's. Maybe I'm just a tight knitter - but it was plenty large around - just very short.

However - with some red ribbon run down the eyelets, it will make a lovely Christmas tree skirt for my table top Christmas tree....

http://www.ravelry.com/projects/Laurat7/kathy-kelly-cabled-capeletAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9170092268359617539.post-55716085374053368082011-03-05T19:37:48.423-08:002011-03-05T19:37:48.423-08:00The pattern calls to cast on 57 stitches. This also makes the math off in row 9 where you say there are now 80 stitches, there's only 79. It's also confusing in row 9 where after the 'X 7' there is 'K3 into 1, [K,P2, K2, P2]'. Where do you get the stitch to do the 'K3 into 1'?

Am I missing something?PNWBookGirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05599445541260252801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9170092268359617539.post-80366787327081788572010-07-02T05:58:00.065-07:002010-07-02T05:58:00.065-07:00That's a lovely pattern, and thank-you for dra...That's a lovely pattern, and thank-you for drawing attention to an important worker and her field.

Do you have a rough idea of yardage/yarn requirements?
